"Say Goodbye to Odors"

What makes the first impression when someone walks into your home?

It’s not necessarily what you think.

It’s not your decorating scheme, or the color of your walls. It’s not the art on your walls.

It’s odors.

That’s right.

Every home has it’s own smell. If your home’s odor is pleasing you have nothing to worry about. But if it’s not so good, well, you’ll need to take steps to rid your home of offensive odors for good.

With a few simple steps, you can make your home’s first impression a great one!

Find the source of the problem.

Is the smell coming from the litter box? The garbage can? The damp basement?

Once you locate the source of the smell, it’s time to go to work. Clean your litter box, use a neutralizing spray or liquid to banish odors from your garbage can, and air out your damp basement.

In all rooms where smells originate, open the windows and place a couple of fans throughout the room to push old air out and new air in.

If the smell is a result of a soil, clean with warm soapy water, or vinegar. Many grocery store cleansers do a good job of neutralizing odors.

If the source of the smell can’t be accessed, use a product that will absorb odors, such as baking soda. Open a box and leave it in the offending area.

Have your flooring professionally deep-cleaned.

Even if your carpet or hard-surface flooring is not the source of your home’s bad odors, these odors can eventually settle in your floor, especially your carpet.

By having us out to your home, for a deep cleaning, we can help to remove the residual smell embedded in your floor.

"Putting Together a Great Guestroom"

When guests come to stay at your home, you want a place for them to feel welcome and comfortable.

Even if your budget is small, you can put together an incredible guest room that is both stylish and elegant.

Just follow these tips:

1.      Add a fresh coat of paint to the room.

Pick a soothing color that’s conducive to sleep, like light blue or lavender.

2.      De-clutter the room.

Think minimalist! Remove any furniture that isn’t necessary, keep knick-knacks and photos to a minimum. A good rule of thumb is one or two items per surface.

Keep the bedside table clear, and empty the drawers in the dresser or bureau.

3.      Pay attention to window treatments.

Window treatments should allow for both light and ventilation, but should also give enough privacy.

4.      Make sure the bed is sturdy, and the mattress isn’t lumpy.

Use the best linens you can afford, and make sure there are at least three pillows on the bed.

Pillow cases, sheets, and comforters should also match.

5.      Make sure there is a chair or other surface on which to sit.

6.      Supply at least two bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths for your guest.

A basket with trial-sized shampoo, soap, and body lotion is a nice touch.

7.      Make sure the carpet is clean and bright.

Have the carpet in your guest room professionally cleaned at least once to twice per year. A nice, clean carpet lends ambience and warmth to your guest room!

"Picture of The Month"""
